Holy Shit am I a creeper?

    Fuck Fuck Fuck

    Let me just state up front for the record,
     I am NOT one of "those" people who like to creep around and look thru peoples windows at night. I swear.

    Just so you know, I feel really pathetic that I have to stop what I'm doing to hunt around my damn house to find my soccerboys bincoulars.
    I really need them, cause I can't get a good enough look thru my new neighbors window.

    Yes, recently some new people have moved in next door.
    So anyways, My eye sight isn't very good. Even with my glasses on I can't see whats going on over there.
    Trust me I have a very good ligit reason to be spying on my new neighbors.

    1. in the last two weeks there have been 7 different cars there.

    2. I'm not totally sure who all lives there, but there are at least 2 adults under the age of 30, at least 3 kids under the age of 5 and 1 mystery guy that could be around the age of 18-20. Going on appearance and vehicle ownership I don't think they look like they can afford it.

    Did I mention that it is a house that is being rented out. Enough said. UGH!

    So anyways, the reason I am being a freakin weirdo is that I am a little concerned with the possbility of there being some kind of illegal activities going on over there.

    Yes, I do have more important things to do in my life then stare out my bedroom window at night at the neighbors house
    but
    in my defense, I am not going to put up with any bullshit of a drug activities going on next door to me.

    Hello!!!! do you know who your dealing with? ME.
    I will not have my fucking house blow up cause some possible meth heads blow up theirs.
    Now I may totally be wrong here.
    Consider this me just being on the safe side.
    and
    if they are normal fine citizens.
    Well then I will put the binoculars up and promise to never peek in their window again.
    It's not like I want to see them naked or anything. Now thats just gross.

    So until I get a good feel about them being "good", people I will continue to spy.

    So what do you think? Do you think I am totally crazy?
    It's not like I'm one of those neighborhood people that participate in a neighborhood watch.

    I really am too fucking busy to waste my time on shit, but I honestly do not want my house blown up, by someone who is such a dumbass that they don't know enough about chemistry that they blow all of us up.

    Does that make it sound more justified? that I've become a peeping tom?

So cool guys!!!! so hard to stay home to work!!!!!

Do or don't: Guys with beards

    When Alex accidentally grew a beard three years ago (he had the flu), I told him he looked rugged and handsome. Surprised, he said I was the only women he'd ever known who actually liked beards. But doesn't everyone love a good scruff? I'm curious: Do you prefer guys with beards or definitely not?

    Today Alex wrote an article about what it feels like for a guy to have a beard. It was funny to hear a man's perspective! Read it here, if you'd like.

    P.S. Before and after.

How to introduce people

    My darlings, want to hear a fascinating little etiquette tip? When you're introducing someone, you should always say their name first and their relationship to you second.

    Wrong: "This is my sister, Lucy."
    Right: "This is Lucy, my sister."

    That way, you spotlight the person--not their connection to you. It's a small thing, but it makes a lovely difference! I just learned this, and I'm doing it from now on.

    What do you think? Great? Random? Who cares? xo

Looking for an editorial intern

    My dears, I'm looking for a top-notch editorial intern for Cup of Jo this fall (to help with the juggle). Do you know anyone who might be interested?

    Here are the details, below...

    *****
    About the internship:
    * 10 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible.
    * A bunch of different tasks, including scouting for posts and products; assisting with round-up posts; conducting interviews; doing blog formatting/coding and admin (I'll show you how); sizing photos; running blog-related errands (e.g., buying flowers for photo shoots, going to the post office), and providing general administrative and editorial support.
    * Commitment of at least 3-4 months, starting around September 1st.
    * Ideally based in NYC. You can work remotely (from your home) much of the time, but it would be great to work together sometimes.
    * Unpaid, but with perks: Exposure on Cup of Jo, learning the ins-and-outs of how blogs work behind-the-scenes, learning how to run a small business, jokes, high fives from Toby, tons and tons of gratitude.

    About the intern:
    * Reads Cup of Jo.
    * Fluent in the blog world.
    * VERY detail oriented and precise.
    * Great sense of style/fashion/design (for research and scouting purposes...you don't have to dress fancy:)
    * Fluent in the online shopping world.
    * Adept at internet research.
    * A nice email manner.
    * Takes work seriously.
    * Cheerful, creative and hardworking.
    * Punctual, efficient and adept at meeting deadlines.
    * Outgoing and comfortable approaching strangers on the street.

    * Bonus: Having your own blog.
    * Bonus: Experience in graphic design and Photoshop.
    * Bonus: Based in New York City (since we'll need to work together at times, especially during training).

    Full disclosure: This internship will sometimes be fun--but will also sometimes be boring! It can't be helped! :)

    If you're interested, please email cupofjointern at gmail dot com with a bit about yourself and your resume. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Adventures

    So the sportsman and I took a trip.
    Over all it was pretty good. Considering the circumstances.(due to my recent tear fest)
    but whatever.
    Anyways,
    here are a few photos from our trip.
    I know they are not all that exciting to you guys.
    but
    It's the point of where we (sportsman and I ) were before we left for this trip and how sometimes places can make "life" magical enough to  s m o o t h  things over.

    So I share these photos with a smile on my face remembering the amazing time I had (for a breif moment).
    So I guess it's not over yet, between US.

    Enjoy.

    The BED where the cowgirl went for a ride,of course with the sportsman.

    The view outside our window of the town, where I stood naked.

    Courtyard outside our window, where I peopled watched, while I stood there naked.

    The HOTEL
    Note: the hill, this is what we ran every morning.

    Hotel resturant

    The Rowdy Beaver Bar

    Worlds largest Wind Chime, that I think is freakin awesome
    since I collect wind chimes.

    Five Finger Death Punch Concert
    T Shirt that I bought

    Good times baby, good times.

Simplest marriage proposal

    How sweet is this proposal video? This spontaneous moment feels just as romantic as a dramatic gesture.

    Kelly, above, tells the story: "After dating for four years, we had just moved to Oregon. We drove out to take pictures in my favorite giant field, and Paul spontaneously asked me at sunset. He didn't have a ring or anything--he just suddenly felt like it was the right time and place. It's not the most glamorous proposal, but it was so heartfelt, and I can't imagine a sweeter way. We got married three months later."

    How sweet is that? If you're married, what was your proposal story?
